Prologue
The Beginning
Three men had stood up in Gallant prison, more though in innocents of
had done nothing wrong, but were waiting some judgements. Almost was it
immediately that they knew that there country Fallmier was under an
attack.
The clean shaven man had cleared his cell and had stared beyond the iron
bars that had held him in captivity at another bearded long haired
spokesman who had said.
He said
They are coming for you young one.
There, you see , the guards are coming right now.
You think that your tough Imperial Patriot.
My grandmother can fight better than you can.
And, what is it? Are those bars a little too much for you to handle.
You will see, they are coming to take you away.
Foot steps by the boots leg had been heard from the mans cell door and
were closing in fast, when, a voice had rose with the words fleeing from
another mans mouth saying, step aside mate and let us through, this is
standard procedure, The other man had opened the cell door. If you try
anything stupid, a women had came in after the other man, this guard
will not hesitate to kill you. The other man had asked me for my name
and i said, my name is Many Men Of Many Things. Well,Many Men Of Many
Things we are protecting the warden and our only way out is through this
cell.
The other man had been a security guard and had pushed on. He had
chopped away at a cell brick near a halogen light and uncovered a button
that had opened the cell wall revealing the sudden light of day and
said. This is it,our way out is here, come with me sir and if you choose
to fallow prisoner,he paused and said, then stay out of our way!
The light had softened my hazel eyes and the warden had been no where to
be found, it left me alone just outside the prison walls. In one
breath, i had called upon the heavens for the holy ghost, an iron blade
had fell to the earth,a fire had encircled its spot where it landed and
went out to an ice cold glacier,in it standing was an iron blade
submerged in an ice burg. There are neither chisels or hammers around
anywhere. But i had a torch that i had sneaked and was lit. I had
gathered a bomb fires worth of dry tree limbs and leaves and had camped
all night until the next morning. During the night, i had dreamed of a
dark knight with a silver blade and had black armor in my plain
sight, when, i had awoke to the blade free of the ice. I took the blade. I
had named it after my guardian angel and had called it holy light. I
had harnessed it at my waist with the scrapings of the wrist irons they
had shackled me in the prison cell with and had began searching for an
herb called the holy thistle. Thank the heavens the security guard had
taken the shackles off before he had left with the warden. The holy
thistle i thought again, the holy thistle is a popular forest plant that
heals pain and helps close wounds and deep scratches and once again i
had been blessed with the find of one. I had found at the edge of the
Priciest Forest and i began mixing it with puddle water i had
mysteriously of ran into.
I covered my entire body in holy thistle juice after. My pains had became tolerable. The next task was finding food.
The inhabitants of Fallmier had been fearful where the city had to
build secure walls to protect itself from the fear of the world and had
began regiments to protect the trade supply and routes and there homes
and even there families with swords and guns and machete and the use of
explosive herbs packed in bottles and canister's.
There was an king and nobles that had occupied the palace and had
demanded more as the time had went by, life was changed little by
little, except for the time being. The king Solomons son had little
contact with anyone and was given odd obligations he had to fallow and
eating well had been one of them. The rebels and bandits were still
around and were randomly imprisoned for thievery and some murders.
Trade routes were always being changed and kept changing over the years
progressions. The bunches of starving homeless citizens had clogged the
paved streets in the villages, back at the village district. And, no more
poorer than the forest Ginnie's.
Besides the summer heat, security guards, knights, nobles, merchants and
farmers spread throughout and about the castle and the country, but the
heat advisory had killed a hundred and twenty homeless the last i knew
and was after its afflictions and were equal to the last winters.
A westerly breeze had blew in,had blown for minutes, but did not
penetrate my captives brown pants and brown captives shirt, machine woven
together, it had been made specifically to keep prison inmates from
dying. I had hurried to the only crossing that had led to the city
Fallmier and was with a pocketful of port might leaves worth twenty
dollars each, they are a rare but average herb to find and i had found
the last of them in the forest. A guard had guarded the Fallmier
security gate. He had asked me for an entrance fee and i had told him
that all that i had was port might leaves and he said alright, this will
do and yelled, let him in!
The gate had opened. Homes had filled the entry upon my sandals first nudge across the entry bridge.
A sewage crossing it was into the city and was built to feed out human
waste out of the city and to bring fresh drinking water to the cities
wells in the market district. There were bulletins amongst the street
that directed civilians who were new to the city. The walk was a good
hundred and fifty blocks before i had reached the market district that
was located in the middle of all of the districts, it was then when i
had reached a wood door with a sign that had said The Herb Counter and i
had entered asking, how much for fifteen port might leaves? An older
women said her name was Nattily and told me that she would pay me three
hundred and nine dollars for them. I had made the deal and said fair
well to her and left. The next store i had came to was a staff shop and
the next after that was a mace store and finally was a clothing merchant
who called itself The Clothiers Paradise where i had bought a pair of
brown leather pants for fifty dollars and a chain mail shirt.
Westerly winds had continued as my walk further into the city began and
was where a whole new sighting had shocked my brain. I saw five banks
completely in brick rebel and a village citizen had said.
She Said
They came in through the wall fast.
They ran an enormous vehicle into the banks.
Then, they had stole everything.
How can someone do such a thing, i replied. There must have been three
million dollars in those banks and i kept onward towards the castle. At
least they did not get holy light from me,i thought.
It is a good thing i have money and a war is not becoming of Fallmier.
